CoboTank at TL Munic

The Transport Logistic fair in Munich is the largest transport fair worldwide. It is normally organised every two years, and this spring it took place in Messe München from the 9th until the 12th of May.

After an extended Corona pause, this year the fair reached a new record, when 2320 exhibitors from 67 countries showcased their products and services at the industry’s leading international trade fair. The number of visitors from 120 countries to 75 000. Also the exhibition space covered by the trade fair grew to 127,000 square meters as all halls were fully booked.

These figures explain why the majority of forwarders, shipping lines, port operators and other companies from the transport sector are present at this fair. The fair is a perfect occasion to meet people from this field, as transport service providers are concentrated in one place at one time.

The Port of Hamburg was present at the fair with a large booth called “Gateway Hamburg”. Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM) was instrumental orchestrating the booth for the port organisations and its own members. At the same time HHM had its own counter in a designated area which was staffed during exhibition hours. At the counter HHM highlighted among others the CoboTank project and provided a meeting point for interested stakeholders. Now that the initial discovery phase has been completed and the production of the 1:10 scale model has been put out to tender, the CoboTank team members used the time to present themselves at the #GatewayHamburg stand.
