Europäisches Sicherheitszentrum Duisburg am Schiffer-Berufskolleg RHEIN e.V.

The European Safety Center at the Schiffer-Berufskolleg RHEIN e.V. (ESD) is a non-profit association that primarily focuses on initial and further training in connection with ship safety, in particular the transportation of dangerous goods and the prevention of fires. It has a tanker section with all facilities at the Schiffer-Berufskolleg RHEIN in Duisburg.

Thanks to its proximity to shipping companies as an affiliated part of a vocational college and as a service provider for safety training and exercises, the ESD can provide expert support and valuable feedback on technical developments. It also makes its tank section available for the development of the cobot on a real scale, enabling realistic development. Due to its vocational education and training role, there is great interest in the active development of the future of inland tanker shipping and the associated port operations.
