Garant Energy GmbH

Garant Mineralölhandelsgesellschaft mbH (Garant) is a trader of mineral oil and chemical products of all kinds, including their export and import. After its foundation in 1961, the first tank farm in Wesel with a capacity of 43,000 m³ for gas oils and fuels was acquired in 1984. Today, Garant, based in Mülheim an der Ruhr, is the operator of three tank farms in Wesel, Duisburg and Hamm (with a total tank capacity of 189,123 m³ for various fuels and heating oils) and their handling infrastructure.

As port- and tank farm operator, the company is responsible for managing the consortium, even if the project management is divided among several organizations for strategic reasons. In this role, Garant is demonstrating its keen interest in the development of the cobot and in proving the feasibility of fully automated tank operation in order to derive valuable insights for the future, in particular for the actual entry into this transformation process.
